Twistleaf is a full-service landscape design and construction studio based in Central Texas. Born out of a passion for the land, our award-winning projects range from public green spaces to private ranches. We partner directly with landowners or collaborate on multidisciplinary design teams of architects, engineers and planners. Urban or rural, our clients value beauty, functionality and land stewardship.
Our name comes from the twistleaf yucca, Yucca rupicola, a native Texas plant that exemplifies beauty and resiliency. The twistleaf inspires the innovative design and ecological approach that we practice. Sarah Yant, our founder and principal, is a seventh-generation native Texan with over 20 years of experience as a designer and contractor. Her passion for land stewardship began while growing up on her family’s ranch on the blackland prairie of northeast Texas. Sarah graduated with honors from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. During her career, she has developed a trusted reputation for teamwork and reliability. Sarah builds lasting relationships with clients and excels at strategic planning, team building and managing complex projects and budgets.
